My experience working at Nokia

As part of the Nokia Software (NSW) department, my work involved collaborating with PMs, UX, developers, and global product teams to design the end-to-end experience of a cellular service iOS & Android mobile application.

Other day to day activities may have included updating and designing components in Nokia's Design System, streamlining interfaces in various web applications, and... continuously losing at Codenames and Decrypto during lunch break.

Here's a picture of me (far right!) and a few of my awesome fellow designers!

Designing MPWR, a telecommunications app

Essentially, MPWR is a B2C digital service management mobile application for your cellular provider. Think of your Rogers or Telus app, but instead, for Indosat, a telecommunications company in Indonesia.

Within the team, I took leads in preliminary UX research & iterations, low fidelity & high fidelity prototypes, UI Refinement, and conducting the final usability testing. This project was done collaboratively- in areas of the process where I was not the lead, I was still actively contributing and involved throughout the process.

This project was done collaboratively- in areas of the process where I was not the lead, I was still actively contributing and involved throughout the process.

With MPWR, my team and I were tasked to create a digital service management app for Indosat, a telecommunications company in Indonesia whom Nokia consults. I worked alongside a senior UX lead and my manager, and was able to have a significant amount of ownership over the project.

With this project taking place during the onset of the pandemic, I helped shipped the product starting in an office environment, and then transitioning to a remote setting.

The final product was shipped as of October 2020 in the Indonesian App & Play Store with over 1,000,000 installs thus far.

Overall, since release in October 2020, the shipped application has over 1,000,000 installs in the Google Play Store. Here it is being covered by a popular Indonesian tech YouTube channel Pricebook with 1 million+ Subscribers.

As my work is under NDA I can't share with you all the details here but I would be more than happy to chat about it alongside my overall experience with you in an interview.
